Feb 2014 to May 2015 –Youth Development Worker Youth Vision -Providing support and learning to develop inner awareness and self-esteem for adolescents to make a healthy transition from childhood to adulthood: Using stories as a developmental tool.
2013 – 2015 – Apprentice storyteller – Scottish Storytelling Centre. Delivered peer to peer learning sessions : The Power of the Story – Archetypes and their presence in stories : Story realm – The altered state of consciousness that can be facilitated through storytelling (with kind permission of Dr Brian Strum – University of North Carolina) and an exploratory session on the knowyourself.me process. .

2013 – Natural Change for Facilitators – Knoydart “Natural Change is a radical form of outdoor education which catalyses social change for a fair and sustainable future.”
2013 –Contemporary Oral Storytelling: Practical and Project “Bothy Banter – to facilitate enjoyable participation in storytelling to develop the appreciation of natural heritage” Course delivered by Donald Smith and Bea Ferguson – Scottish Storytelling Centre- Newbattle Abbey College – SVQ Level 7.
2008 – Storytelling Training with Eric Maddern – Cae Mabon Wales Prepared source material and attended two weekend residential training sessions in Cae Mabon, Wales and Glen Etive, Scotland.
Jan 2007 to May 2015 –Volunteer Conservation Team Leader Venture Scotland – Leading groups of conservation volunteers on sustainable development residential weekends at a “bothy” in the Western Highlands. Cultivation of young people, at risk of social exclusion, to become conservation volunteers and team leaders and engage in John Muir Award scheme: Lone Ranger project – solo occupancy of the “bothy” February to April 2008 – Immersion in off-grid “native” lifestyle whilst sourcing and preparing local materials for a natural-build storytelling space.
Apr 2004 to Sept 2014 – Driver / Guide Wild In Scotland / Heart of Scotland Driving minibus and providing guided tours, up to ten days duration, of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland whilst sharing my knowledge of the history, culture and natural environment of Scotland in an informative and entertaining way: Learning and sharing stories through the oral tradition.
